With the need to tackle climate change making headline news around the world in 2021 we are all more aware that the food choices we make have a direct impact on the environment.

With recommendations from the World Health Organisation to reduce meat and dairy combined with similar reports and reviews including The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 2018 and Eat Lancet Commission 2019 it can be difficult to navigate recommendations on what a sustainable diet means and how practically this can be followed. More people are moving to a more plant based diet or turning vegan yet often without consideration of the nutritional implications.

This webinar will first look at the definition of a sustainable diet,  international and national reviews of sustainable eating. It will then highlight nutritional considerations for those following a vegan diet, highlight particular key nutrients and recommendations for supplementation.
