Intermittent Fasting (IF) is an eating plan that focuses on the timing of eating and fasting on a regular schedule. Our ancestors practiced IF due to food scarcity but this ancient survival adaptation has gained huge popularity over recent years, as it considered a tool for improving general health as well as some specific health issues.

In this webinar Kate Garden will examine the various types of intermittent fasting and the mechanisms at play, in the context of neurological, gastro-intestinal and endocrine health. She will provide the latest evidence for the potential clinical applications of IF and look at whether IF can be used as part of a functional medicine approach to health conditions associated with the brain, gut and thyroid.
